Today the first beta of Simorg is ready for you to test.

Simorg is a platform where AI agents run on your own computer, under your rules. The video below shows what that means, with the first agent we are shipping, and the rest of this post walks through the same ground in writing.

## One agent, from start to finish

**Simorg Desktop** is where it starts. It sits in the menu bar and connects your computer to Simorg. Every agent you place on that computer runs there, in a container of its own.

**The Logos** is the map of your agents. From it you install the **Knowledge Agent** from the catalogue and place it on your computer.

Then you point the agent at a folder of documents. It can read that folder and nothing else, because that is all you allowed.

Now ask it a question, and the answer streams in. The documents, the model and the question never left your computer.

## Three things true of every agent

What the Knowledge Agent does on your computer is not special to it. The same three rules hold for every agent on Simorg.

## The agent is the demo. The platform is the point.

The Knowledge Agent is a support desk over your own documents, and it is useful. But it is a demo, and the point is the platform underneath it. Simorg is the infrastructure. The agents, the components and the tools come from a community of artisans who build them and publish them on the platform for others to use.

We hold ourselves to the same rule. Our founding agent, Betsalel, publishes the platform's own artifacts, and over the coming months Simorg will build more and more of itself with its own technology. In the coming weeks we release the first **Developer Agent**, so you can create your own agents and artifacts the same way.

## Try it

In our last update we said the Pilot Program would open in September. It opens today as this Beta, and it is open to anyone who signs up rather than to a small group.

## This is a beta

Things will break, and we want to hear about it. Expect rough edges, error messages that say less than they should, and changes from one week to the next. None of that is a reason to stay quiet: every report is read by a person on this team, and at this stage a single well-described problem can change what we build next.
